Tribal Climate Resilience Funding

Description:
Proposals are being sought from Federally recognized Tribes and authorized Tribal organizations to receive awards to support Tribal climate resilience planning and strategy implementation. Because funding is limited, individual awards shall not exceed the designated maximum amounts. This year, there are two Categories of funding: planning and implementation. Separate from these two Categories of funding, TCR has also set aside funds for First Time Awardees, Habitat Restoration and Adaptation, as well as RMP Coordinators, which will be awarded separately from Categories 1 and 2. These set-asides have separate activity standards as described within this solicitation.
- Category 1: Planning (maximum: $250,000) does not include funding for implementation activities.
- Category 2: Implementation (maximum: $4,000,000) projects must identify whether they include construction.
Applicants are not guaranteed to be funded at the requested amount. There is a limit of two planning awards and one implementation and/or construction award per funding Category per Tribe – this limit includes set aside funding.
Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program (MPPEP)

MPPEP helps eligible processors expand their processing capacity, which create new, better and more processing options for meat and poultry producers. Entities that engage or plan to engage in meat and poultry processing, including private, non-profit, tribal, cooperative, state or local government, among other entities are eligible to apply for this funding opportunity.
Community Wildfire Defense Grant 2023

Description:
The purpose of the Community Wildfire Defense Grant is to assist at-risk local communities and Indian Tribes with planning and mitigating against the risk created by wildfire. Priorities are at-risk communities in an area identified as having high or very high wildfire hazard potential, are low-income, and/or have been impacted by a severe disaster. More details on these three priorities can be found in the Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs). There are two primary project types for which the grant provides funding: (1) The development and revision of Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPP); (2) The implementation of projects described in a CWPP that is less than ten years old.
Farm to School Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreement

The purpose of the Farm to School Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreement described in this request for applications (RFA) is to support nonprofit entities and Indian Tribal Organizations to implement national- and/or regional-level farm to school activities. Successful applicants under this cooperative agreement will undertake projects supporting USDA’s priorities of Food System Transformation, Improving Child Health through Nutritious School Meals, and Indigenous Food Sovereignty.
National Animal Disease Preparedness and Response Program (NADPRP)

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) is announcing the availability of up to $17,000,000 in funds in the National Animal Disease Preparedness and Response Program (NADPRP) to support projects in the priority topics, including: (1) Develop, enhance, and exercise State and Tribal animal disease outbreak emergency response plans; (2) Support livestock and poultry biosecurity measures and programs; (3) Enhance capability and capacity for depopulation, carcass disposal, and decontamination in a disease outbreak; (4) Support outreach & education on animal disease prevention, preparedness, and response; (5) Enhance aquatic animal disease preparedness and response. Indian Tribes are listed as one of the eligible applicants.
