The Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative had a busy and successful year, marked by growth and increased services, furthering IFAI’s mission to enhance the health and wellness of Tribal communities by advancing healthy food systems, diversified economic development, and Tribal food traditions in Indian Country.

IFAI has served as Indian Country’s agricultural law and policy research experts since our formation in 2013, and this past year provided opportunities for IFAI to connect and serve Tribes and Tribal producers in all 50 states. IFAI also increased the number of one-on-one Tribal consultations, assisting Tribes with setting and achieving their food and agricultural goals; invested in Tribal youth through our tenth annual Native Youth in Food and Agriculture Leadership Summit; provided policy and legal research support; and so much more.

However, the positive impact that IFAI makes would not be possible without the generous support of partners and and IFAI’s passionate, hardworking staff.
